Green I.T. for Green Policy, in partnership with OASIS, is an official
conference of the 2010 Belgian Presidency of the European Union (EU).

The objective of this two-day Conference is to provide an opportunity
for the public and private sectors to debate how Information &
Communication Technologies can enhance environmental and energy
sustainability and competitiveness in line with the goals of the Belgian
EU Presidency. Expert speakers will discuss how Technology and Policy
interact within a progressive and dynamic partnership to achieve
sustainability goals within tight financial constraints. Open standards
and interoperability will be considered as important contributions to
promoting green I.T. for green policies.

The Conference will bring together an audience of approximately 350
senior-level policy makers from the public sector as well as top
executives in the Energy, Climate Change, Sustainable Development, Smart
Buildings and related Technology fields.
The OASIS eGov and Blue Member Sections, together with the Belgium
Federal Ministry of Finance, have developed the programme to promote
interoperability and the use of open standards in this rapidly expanding
sector, which is forecast to continue to grow despite the financial
crises afflicting major markets.
